Yes, it's confirmed. Just received the official recall letter, along a note from Mazda $500cdn cheque will be sent and warranty will be reset to Dec 1, 2005 (but the milage will not get reset  ) But the bad news is I still can't get back my 5, they are still waiting for parts. Maybe 1 or 2 more weeks. Terence |

Yeah apparently they shipped the parts based on VIN# and purchase date... so those of us who bought the first ones get them fixed first.
