If I were to buy a new vehicle from the US, would I still be covered under manufacturer warranties and be able to get my service done at a dealership locally in BC?
Also.. I have heard about some policies requiring a vehicle to be over a certain # of KM's or something?
Is it overly complicated to import a new vehicle or has anyone done this recently ?

Also wondering... are US vehicles meeting the same safety and/or environmental standards as CA vehicles? And are there any other major issues to deal with ? DRL or other light settings etc..

I know for a fact that most cars (even new ones) in the US do not have DRL lights. As such, a module has to be added before you can insure it here. As for the other questions, no idea But you can only get the provincial inspection done at Canadian Tire.

#1, stop being an ass to me - you've done it on every single thread and I'm getting tired of it. #2, I said as far as I know - never looked into and everyone that I've talked to said that only Cad Tire does it.

I believe that provincial inspection can be done at many various place. But Federal inspection must be done at Canadian Tires. For out of country imports, both must be done.

About warranties, warranty coverage varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. I understand that BMW and Mercedes are terrible about this (afaik, they won't cover warranty issues, though you can always drive it back across the border), whilst IIRC Soobahroo is quite accomodating.

http://www.ucanimport.com/Inspection_Centres.aspxFrom that link, there are multiple places that can do it.
