Cheap gas and growlies

I have been buying my gas in Blaine for quite a long time. I have recently started to get a few groceries down there too. I went to Cost cutters and did a little price comparison. Boneless chicken breasts, Safeway Canada... $16.73 a kilo....cost Cutters, $11 a kilo. Pork sirloin...Safeway...$11.26 kilo, Cost cutter $5.89 kilo. Drumsticks, $7.26 kilo safeway. Cost cutter $5.69. Stew beef$11.50 kilo Safeway....$8.75 cost cutters. Plus, you get a gas discount on your purchases, they give you a card to use at their stations. I purchased $150 worth of food, received 24cents a gallon off gas, maximum 15 galls. Regular price for gas was $3.89 US gall regular, which is cheaper than most to begin with. I paid cash and the price was $3.60 US gallon. Its Exxon gas so as good as or bad as any other I suppose. Everything was cheap in that store, soups, salsa, frozen pizza, stuff like that. I'm compiling my own comparative price list.Worth thinking about guy and gals. After the expose Marketplace did on Canadian chicken I have no problem buying down there.

my parents have a place by mount baker and whenever we go visit, we always make a run to cost cutter. everything is much cheaper and better selection too. we always buy diapers down there. its like $16 at cost cutter to like $29-36 here even at walmart.

Yes, my son and his wife just had a baby and they get everything down there. Many years ago when my kids were young I had a place near Mount Baker too, It was called Black Mountain Ranch, great little spot.
