wut do u guys think of that??

it's too big now and that it looks much like  a bigger corolla (with the headlights and the lines of the vehicle)

i dun think that the inline-5 150hp is still enuf....and is still underpowered for the bigger body. IMO

I don't like it...saw a red one on Marine Drive last week...I like the new golf...but don't like a stretched golf with a trunk, which is what I think the Jetta looks like...

I love the Golf V GTI. Yet, I think the Jetta V looks horrendous due to it's toothy chrome grill and bulbous rear end. The interior is top notch, but VW really dropped the ball on the V. I want to like it, but just can't. Oh and those Corolla comparisons aren't far off at all.

I would love to swap badges on the two and see if anyone notices lol

^^^ I agree with you

They just took the Golf front and then used a corolla rear, it is ugly as hell IMO

I can't wait till the GTI 2.0T comes here tho...so excited

The GTI 2.0T looks awesome. I really want it to come in 4 door though. <prays>

if $$ not as much an issue, i'd prob go for A3's 2.0T instead...

those new looks are still having gone uglier than previous generations IMO

Doesn't matter how well the VWs are designed or perform, IMHO as long as they have quality issues (which I am assuming is related to their production plants in Mexico), can't see myself owning one...

Only certain models are manufactured in mexico which is the Volkswagen Beetle and the Jetta's. All other Volkswagen and Audi's are manufactured in Germany. 80% of the parts for Volkswagen and Audi come from Germany, but are manufactured in Europe (France, Germany, Spain, Italy, etc) and 17% parts come from Mexico and they are only for Volkswagen parts.

Yeah, I agree that the new 2006 Jetta's look like a corolla from the back...I stare at it all day long lol... I am doing a project for the Volkswagen Parts Distribution Center in Richmond...and they gave me an office right next to their training center where there are 2 2006 Canadian version Jetta and 2 American Version, (Why do American's always get the better of it???) and right next to it is a 2003 Jetta GLI, I really like the GLI...
if only I can land a job there..they get mad discounts there....the warehouse personel drives a 2005 S4 for god sakes...

there are 3 S4's in that parking lot...and then there's my Mazda 3 in between..lol I should take a pic next time...
but yeah...
it costs $700 a month to lease that car if you work there...that price includes insurance...

to buy it out it only costs them $40,000....
