Anyone know the reliability of those minivans?
Tranny issue?
common problem?
things I should look closer?
2.5 vs 3.0
certain year better than other?

well my dad bought a 1992(OLD) 3.0 mpv for $500 with 200k and sold it 2 years later for $800 with 320k.... was a super strong car... i could spin the rear tires... not sure how the newer ones r... but if they r similar to the older ones... then id say theyre a tank.

1st gen (89-97) had tranny problem and bad milage. I had a 94 100,000km and tranny slipped

The 2000+ are fwd....

Very good minivans with surprisingly sporty handling.

Ignition coils have a habit of failing every few years, give or take. There are DIYs out there for this common problem and it is not very hard to do yourself. Mechanics can charge about $250 to replace one ignition coil or maybe get them to replace all six at the same time to save on labour cost. You could buy all six coils for under $200 from Amazon and install in a couple of hours.

Bulletproof vehicles otherwise.
