Hey there I used to own a 2006 Mazda 3 GT before but decided to get a smaller car.  Picked up this "Yozora Edition" Mazda 2 a couple weeks ago.  I tried many others but I just can't stay away from the Mazda's.  I haven't missed the 3 yet so far.  Not even noticing the difference in horsepower as this car is so light and fun to drive specially with the five speed manual.

Anyways thought I'd share.  Not sure is there a Mazda 2 BC site as well?

Grats on your new 2 !!

Not sure about a bcmazda2 forum yet; but if we get enough activity here, we'd be happy to create a subforum just for the 2 owners.  Right now, we have you and hansolocujo driving MZ2's  Wink

Hope to see you around !

Would it be wrong of me to say that I thought the 2 was "cute"?  Smiley

My gf had one of those as a loaner the other day while her 3 was in getting some work done and I must say, I'm impressed with the car. Slightly less power than my MS3 lol but it was a nice little car. Inside was very comfortable and nicely laid out.

slightly less power than your ms3?? waaaay less power!!! I test drove the yozora and it was slow. Great handling like the 3 but slow..and with 3 ppl going over an overpass, it seemed like the car would die.

welcome!

Yeh it definitely has less power then any 3 .... automatic transmission definitely lacks in power as it seemed to search for gears .... thats why I bought it with the manual transmission its much better ... but yeah with a car load of people and a large hill you definitely have to gear down.  This car is more for someone like me and my wife who just needed a small car that looked good, decent on gas and most importantly fun to drive.  However I am looking forward to mods in the future to increase the horsepower .... Smiley  Well thats as soon as I can talk my wife into it lol.

Lol I guess that's why my wife and I fell in love with the 2 Smiley

Welcome back!

Yeah I agree the 2 decals didn't appeal to me so I had them removed.

Welcome....nice car. Now lower it! Wink
Yep first mod will be to either put a cat back exhaust or lower it.

I want to own a car one day where I don't have to downshift going up the snow shed on the Coquihalla. Every car I've owned has been an embarrassment up that hill. Smiley Loaded with 5 people camping gear and bicycles, I had to turn on my 4 way flashers in my Mazda 5. lol.
