Just a little note about this for people driving along Shaughnessy into downtown PoCo...
The RCMP will stand on the Kingsway overpass above Shaughnessy street and look down onto cars driving theu the "tunnel". From where they stand, they can see directly into your car but it's hard for you to see them unless you're looking up. They catch people there all the time for cell phone and seat belt infractions. The other officers will stand further up and will be radioed by the observing officers. The way they do it, people have no idea how they get caught. Just a word of caution.

I can understand a cellphone infraction, but not wearing a seatbelt? That just doesn't make any sense to me...

I remember that how's some cops in HK catch speeders. Two of them with radar guns would be stationed above street level on a pedestrian overpass and they'd radio ahead to other officers further down the road to catch the speeders. So sneaky...

I saw something similar recently on Highway 1 Westbound between Hope and Bridal Falls. An unmarked cruiser was parked on top of an overpass. The railings are high enough on that overpass that you can't really tell there is a car there. Anyways, an officer was using a handheld radar. About a 1km ahead just after a bend in the road were several marked cruisers waving people down. Kev

Just wear your seatbelt and you got nothing to worry about. Hell I never drive without my seatbelt.

Yup, definitely saw them last weekend. Also, I will refuse to drive if someone in my car isn't buckled in.

Problem with this style of spot and pull over is if the driver dispute, all parties involved will need to show up in court.
