unfortunate to hear En4cer.  that area (where I live around) is getting more and more stories of mugging. there and around Nanaimo station.  It's getting worse, i really hope people do something about it.

Sorry to be off topic, but do you by chance park your car near copley and 19th? cus i sometimes see a silver 3 hatch with black rims parked there sometimes.

that pass protection is when you unlock your phone and it requires you to enter a 4 digit pass code in order to access your stuff in your phone.

ya thats my silver HB parked there sometimes my gf lives around there but ya gotta watch out around that area man especially with trout lake park

Ah, so it is you i see sometimes. cool! I'll definitely wave, honk or do whatever if i drive past you again lol

lol ok

but ya i called apple today regarding to the giving them the IMEI number whatever they said they don't handle things like that and i should contract my local police instead?!??!

Not surprised. Carriers are not helping. Nothing a manufacturer can do.

Good to hear that you're alright. I hate the passcode, simple or phrase set up, but always think the worse so I leave it on. I back up my phone either with Google or to my computer daily. I also have the Finder app to track or remotely delete my data. I wouldn't expect much help from a carrier or police or Apple.

Good luck with your new phone and be careful in that or any area. I'm always paranoid about this and always paying attention to my surroundings. It's sad but life.
