i would have no on this

mostly because everyone in my family has a civic

and i've never been a real true fan of civic (regardless of the fact that i owned one)

although this one does look better than any years i've seen

a civic will always be a civic...just like a tercel being a tercel.  I'd never buy a civic....probably never a honda either.  their styling just doesn't appeal to me.

Honestly, we have a new model year car and I see tons of 3's running around. Soon people will say the same about our car... "just another 3". I guess I've never been much to judge a car based on exclusivity but in due time it will be a case of the pot calling the kettle black with the "It's just a civic" comments.

Hopefully Honda sorts out the technicals and comes out with something more competitive with today's sport compact segment. I think 170hp+ is a bare minimum coupled with a 6 speed stick. Does anyone know when the car will be unveiled? There have been test mules running around for quite some time now.

Heres some spy shots of the civic. Doesn't look as hot as the concept.

Hm, it just looks like a smaller version of what the Accord looked like up until last year.. Meh.  Doesn't do much for me.

Yeah I'm not all that impresed.  The little 3-door hatchy looked kinda nice though.  Smiley

The concept looked good, but again, it looks like the production model will disappoint.

Honda has taken some styling cues from the TSX. I anxiously await the technicals and price point at which the Civic wil be offered. As per the design, I don't like to make a judgement until I see it in the flesh.

I am a self admitted Honda fan. My last Honda was an all motor class type sleeper. Let me first say I LOVE my 3 probably the best bang for your hard earned dollars. I thought that first pic of the silver coupe was very sweet looking. I would be very tempted.

But I still go by these thoughts:
When I was looking for a new car last August I test drove the Honda Civic Sedan Si, the Nissan Sentra Spec V Type R, Acura, Mitsu, Mini, VW Jetta. They all have pros and cons, BUT when you look at the Mazda 3 (sedan or hatch) the Mazda seems to give you the right options, performace and so forth. So when I looked at all the other imports (cause I'm an import guy) the Mazda was the best value all the way around. Hence isnt that why we all got a 3 either a sedan or hatch. I have said this before and I will again...Mazda is making other car makers take another look at what they sell. Go Mazda.

The sedan's front doors and small windows look a bit like the Jazz or Fit (whatever version U want) but the whole thing looks a bit strange, of course the coupe looks MUCH MUCH MUCH better!!   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The console is quite unique design, that's all I can say...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Civic Si has been tested for 0-60 at 6.7s  Shocked

The coupe is HOT! Too bad they will be everywhere but damn, that is smokin' fast for a Civic out of the box.
