My hotel is re-launching and is going to open with a campaign "pay what you want". It is a 2 night maximum stay but basically, you say what you want to pay and enjoy all the perks, rooms permitting.

So if anyone wanted to come up to Victoria, BC for a few nights, this is a chance to do it for cheap. Here are the details

You must apply online at www.paywhatyouwantvictoria.com

promotion is live october 27 and runts till nov 11 and you can book a stay for use from the 28th to december 23rd. Reservations must be at least 24 hours in advance and is subject to availability.

If you want to stay longer, you will get the lowest possible rate but it is not pay what you want.

there are 10 rooms per night available so if your interested, move quick.

There is no minimum amount accepted but you are asked to consider the seasonal average rate of $100 a night.

srry for all the details but it is a decent chance for someone to escape for a few nights or more.

The hotel is called the hotel grand pacific and it is where i work.

Lastly, i should offer this to all of you as i have for a couple but if anyone wants to stay here, i can get you a "friends and family rate" of 75 a night. Just PM me for that or ya, check out this promotion.

For those not familiar with Victoria, the Grand Pacific is one of the bigger (Swankier) hotels right in the inner harbour. My work does their christmas party there.

Maybe I should stay there over night.

Great hotel and I'm not saying that just because my dad also works there...

Great promotion, but for anyone wanting to check this out, they are (now) completely sold out for Friday and Saturday nights until the promotion ends in December.

Thanks for the information on this Alpinewhite6.  I passed this on to a number of mainland friends who have been able to take advantage of the promotion.  I think it was a good way to promote the hotel (and keep my couch free from guests on a couple occasions)
