Rogers announced that they outright will refuse discount pricing on their plans saying that their clientele is receiving the services they need at the right price (read the idiots who just pay their bill without realizing they are being gouged)
I'm switching to bell after my contract expires, rogers is garbage!

Vish, You might want to contact the CRTC. I had a problem with transferring a cell phone number between carriers and it got resolved quite promptly after contacting the CRTC.
That'll be step #4 - have emailed the President of Rogers as step 2, will deal with an ombudsmen as step 3 and CRTC as #4! Meantime, will continue to generate as much attention as possible!

I'm switching to bell after my contract expires, rogers is garbage! Reception and coverage is nowhere as good on Bell though. I had used Rogers for years, and still keep my moms and my younger brothers phones with them. They treated me quite well, but I haven't had to deal with them for awhile now. For myself, I am on Bell now only because it is company paid.

Clears up as soon as I drive away from the area.

You might get good reception at home then, but then it is worse everywhere else...

I'm switching to bell after my contract expires, rogers is garbage! bell started doing something like that about a year or two ago too, right around when I left. I guess they were a bit more discrete about it. The reason being is that discounts costs the company money, it ACTUALLY hits their pocket books. Instead of discounts, all CSR's were told to give free features (for a determined period of time) in place of, since features cost them next to nothing. I'm not particularly loyal to any network despite having worked for bell, but I still prefer the 'bellus' network over the Rogers network.. I find it does have better coverage/reception overall from my personal experience of using both. I liked your FB page vish! Hope everything works out for you!
