Hello everyone,

***A bit of a story... lol

I have lurked and posted here under a different user name a few years back. I have since graduated from school, sold my econobox unmodified Mazda 3 and bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler unlimited and done some tasteful mods and I love it. I moved up north and worked in the bush all day and my Jeep fit right in, I love it.

I get a call one day and I get a job offer back in my home town, Vancouver! I take it and move back down. Since ive driving my loaded with every option Jeep around and its amazing on the road trips, in the summer just pop off the top and go not to mention in the snow its amazing.

But as I am now getting a little older, I have a career and a little extra money. I am realizing that having a decked out Jeep is nice is like sitting on a big bag of money. Money for a house rather than rent, and other things.

So here I am, car shopping. I have looked at Subaru, Volkswagen, BMW, Audi and many other makes I admire and enjoy. Not to mention, I've owned a number of Volkswagens previously.

I have arrived at none other than the Mazda 3, this time I am getting the hatchback, all the options, the heated seats, sunroof and the cool wheels. It seems like the smart thing to do and they are a heck of a lot cheaper to modify.

Not going to get the new body style, not a huge fan of it. So I am looking for a 2006-2008, and i think I have found a nice black one.

Got lots of plans and I am hoping I can make my new car as nice as some of your cars on this board

Post your ride and specs, give me some inspiration I'll post mine when I get it Tongue

I've moved your thread to the "new members" section.  As you've mentioned, you're not really new here but I figure a new username is worthy of a new intro  Wink

Grats on your 3!  Remember to post up some pics !!

btw, what was your previous username here?  Just curious.

Thanks! I appreciate the move, makes sense Cheesy

As for the username, I would rather leave it behind me lol Tongue. Not that I was a bad person, heck I only had like a hundred posts. But I may as well be a new user all together, cause its been a while and I am ready for a fresh go!

Oh I will have pics, I look forward to it.

if you do end up checking out this car, talk to Nelson Pang.  I bought my Mazda from him.  Good, honest guy.

That's my car's brother but with manual and black.  I have 145K on the clock.  Take it for a drive over uneven surfaces and listen for clunks from the rear sway bar end links.  Not a major problem to fix.  Check that all the recalls have been done including the door lock reinforcements and shock sensor.  Check the brake pads particularly the rears.  From the pictures it looks like it has the heated leather seats, the luxury package and A/C.  Ours has been very good to us.  Price-wise you'll have to rely on the B.C. members' opinions.

Awesome input guys! I really appreciate it. Good call on the recall status etc.

if you do end up checking out this car, talk to Nelson Pang.  I bought my Mazda from him.  Good, honest guy.

Yea I went and saw the car and I did talk to Nelson Pang. He seems like a really good guy! I actually set up an appointment with him on Saturday to go over the car and take it for a drive.
