big question folks. What DONT you like about your Ipod or our Blackberry. I'm looking to upgrade, I have a Blackberry right now and HATE the small screen. Aps are not a big deal, I can get what I want for my Blackberry. The Blackberry torch has a sliding feature that exposes the keyboard and allows a full screen for everything else. My Blackberry is real reliable. Heard a few issues with Iphones regarding updating, my daughter hates updating hers with a PC, maybe Apple makes them PC unfriendly? What do you all think, if you had the choice, what would you own. Try and be unbiased lol!!

IPhone no questions asked ... U can do way more with iphone then a blackberry n plus the screen is bigger which u prefer and ive had the iPhone 4 n now have the 4S and I haven't had no issues. I was a big blackberry user before I owned about 4-5 blackberrys back in the day n nothing sums it up to the iPhone. Only flaw is the battery life it drains pretty quick but either then that I like it:)

I've had a blackberry for about 1.5 years now, was great at first, but now I really want to switch to an iPhone. If I wasn't on contract for 3yrs I would make the switch now. A lot of my BBM friends have recently made the switch to an iPhone too.

I usually get the hand me downs from my kids, my son has a Blackberry,his wife has an Iphone , one daughter had an Iphone, hated and now has a blackberry, my other daughter just got the latest Iphone and spends more time with it hooked up to the computer than talking on it. Like I said, the apps dont mean anything to me really, I do like that the Blackberry has the flash player and I can watch anything on it. Just torn between the plusses of both.

Iphone now has iMessage which acts like BBM Between iPhones. It does use part of your data plan. You will be sending text messages to your Blackberry friends. |

I have the 9700. Fed up with the small screen(I know not an issue with yours), slow A$$ connection, no youtube and just isn't as fun (less apps) so I feel limited. It took 5min for it to locate me earlier on google map. Whereas my buddy's iPhone 4g was instantaneous and even highlighted the heavy traffic roads to avoid.

You can use Whatsapp for BBM like communication between iPhone, Blackberry and Android.
Lack of Flash on iPhone... doesn't bother me that much.
A lot of videos are on youtube these days and you can use youtube on iPhone.

iOS 5 no longer needs a computer for updates or even backing up, just use iCloud now. If you buy a new iPhone with iOS 5, you can set it up and get running out of the store. No more "please connect to iTunes"
And a lot of videos are iPhone compatible. Vevo, Vimeo, NHL Gamecenter, etc. Flash sucks, the faster websites move away from it the better.
And I just use iMessage for my iPhone friends and text messaging for all others.

You don't even need the cable to sync data between your computer and iPhone.
Whenever I move music into the iPhone it's all done wirelessly now.

I think they've come up with a fix to extend the battery life. (system update iOS 5.0.1) It was reported in the paper today. |

I loved my blackberry. It did all I wanted to do, but I never asked much from it. Since getting the iPhone, I now realize all that I was missing. The interface is much more user-friendly, the touch screen is really responsive, I'll never worry about viruses (vs. android). I like my iPhone, it's a good smartphone.
My only gripe is that it's a terrible phone. The one thing cellphones should do well is make phone calls. I drop calls all the time, I miss phone calls and my phone never rang, I get voicemail but I don't see a missed call.

Hey Doxie, I really like my Blackberry too, the only gripe is the small screen, I do like the idea of a full size screen PLUS keyboard. The OS for Blackberry suits me fine, I'm not really into too much game/video stuff, I watch the odd You tube, send pics back and forth, I really think an I phone is too much phone for me,thats why I was thinking of the Torch. For me, the downside of the Torch is the moving bits, more stuff to go wrong. I have a great data plan with Rogers, 6 gigs, I barel use it because surfing the net is difficult with the small screen. I'm really torn. I love Apple's style, reputation.......
