I know nothing about photoshop software but there's a sale at costco.  Adobe photoshop 10 for $75.  Is this a good deal?

I take it it's Adobe Photoshop Element 10? If it is, FutureShop has it for $50 right now Tongue

The cover says "Adobe Premier and Photoshop Element 10".  is that the same thing?

Nope. Premiere is for video editing and photoshop is for... well you know, photos. In that case, FS has it for $80.

I see.  Thanks Max.  So these software are strictly for photo and / or video editing and not for things like graphics design, yes?

You can do graphic design in PS Element. It's not strictly photo editing.

What I would suggest is downloading the trial software and see if it does what you want it to do. Some features I like aren't available in PS Element (such as layer masks).

Here's a quick and dirty break down of Element and CS5
