Nan Chuu is not that bad.  Anyone tried that out?

dL

It used to be bad (Raku or Guu is much better), but they immediately changed the chef.  It's not bad the last time I tried it (Over a year ago).

That same spot before Nan Chuu opened, there used to be a Jap restaurant called Yamakiya.  One of my faves!  Dunno where they've gone to now.

My brother's been to Koko's quite a few times for lunch as his boss likes that place. He said the food is good but way overpriced. 5 bucks for a spicy tuna cone and $1.75 for a bowl of miso soup is outrageous.

Ro Sushi on Broadway about half a block west of Cambie is freaking awesome. $7.50 for a bento box that comes with 6 pieces of tuna and salmon sashimi, a california roll, choice of beef or chicken teriyaki, and a salad. I usually have them give me all tuna sashimi, and substitute a spicy tuna roll for the cali roll for like 50 cents extra.

Their stuff is always amazingly fresh, and I can never finish.

for quality stuff, i used to go to sushikan in aberdeen but it got replaced by guu.
man they had so many different types of sushi there. Tried almost all of them and ended up racking up a lunch bill of about 200 + tips.

Right now, i love happa on robson. Pricey but their negitoro is SOOO good ( a mixture of toro and green onion in a sauce, then u spread it onto a piece of bread)

Oh by the way, don't bother going between 7 and 8:30pm without a reservation as it gets absolutely packed then.
