man.. is that the first ever turbocharged 4-cylinder van?!?!

it's SURE HOT!!!

Nope... my dad had a turbo charged Dodge Caravan back in the early 90's.  Dunno how much hp it made... it had a wicked turbo lag.. but it would go pretty good once it got going. Smiley

I got that from www.mpvclub.com. I think in the video on the website that i posted before, the mazda spokes man outlines all the things, the interior, the ext and the engine. That person might have got it from there. I think someone who speaks japanese should tell where that info is on that site.

mind to post the direct link.. I can't find it in there...
274hp and 280Tq.. looks like someone pull it off from the MazdaSpeed 6 spec.. is far from real IMO on a MPV..
I think it should be around 230-250hp..

yeah vic... i agree with u....

should be around that range, but more torque perhaps...
they should make it >260hp if possible, cuz gotta kick some honda ass....

Hopefully they make it a manual, like the 5.

We also had one, an '89 Turbo Caravan auto. Maroon with laser red pinstriping & the turbo isignia on the front fender. I have fond memories of that van! Very peppy. The turbo Caravans became a cult vehicle, especially the extremely rare 5 spd versions. There are many videos of a turbo Caravan running low 11's and smoking V8 counterparts who scoffed at the idea of lining up against a baby-vessel.

Back on topic, I really really hope this version of the MPV makes it to North America and doesn't become an Asia only thing Sad

i doubt it being asia only....

they might degrade some features before coming to NA (like the 5) but i think mazda is trying to bring in every vehicle possible to take away competitors...

I am pritty sure they will bring it here too.

they have kept the current mazda mpv design for 6 years now. It is definately time for a change.
