I cannot stop freaking out, this is so bloody awesome. I pick up my titanium 3 GT hatch back monday morning and all i can say is hell yeah. I test drove it last week and was thoroughly suprised by the vehicle, I returned yesterday with my parents to show them the pimp little ride that I wanted to buy and they both were so shocked at the quality vehicle there son was buying. They are both really proud of me, all my buddies are kind of shocked as well. I have plans to lower the car ASAP and get an exhaust setup going on. If anyone has suggestions as far as the equipment I should choose toss out some ideas. I am looking at picking up a new pair of shoes for her a little later in the summer, probably a set of ENKEI RPO3's or KONIG's, who knows for sure yet though. Anyways I am new to the board and really excited about my new baby, CHEERS TO ALL THE PEOPLE REPRESENTING MAZDA 3's MATT G

Thanks for the warm welcome Briefescape, I think I am going to get the canuck motorsports spring set quite soon to have the car dropped 1.75", a friend of mine just called to see what car I ended up buying and he says that his G/F's brother bought this spring set and they have been great for him. Worth it for me to look into it further at least.

It was so hard to say no to that color choice, the winning blue was also calling to me but if I am planning to have this car for awhile then I figured a more classy neutralish color like the titanium would be a smart choice.
I took my good friend down to the dealership this afternoon and he says that I should consider getting the stock wheels powder coated gloss black and painting the calipers bright blue with the duplicolor caliper paint that is available. I must admit that this color set-up would look tight on a lowered 3. What's your guys opinions?

I would still be saving up for a light set of 17 or 18 wheels but I figured that getting the stock wheels professionally painted would be quite rad

i'm working on getting some rims for mine still and I've had mine since august of last year. Takes me a long time to choose....too picky. Oh yeah, you can get the duplicolor kit for 18 bucks at walmart but they've been sold out of them for a little while.

well the mazdaspeed dampers are out. But they're hella expensive. There is a group buy going on for the eibach springs on the forum but I think www.cvrmotorsports.com has them the cheapest. I worked out the conversion rate and they still end up being cheaper. Thing is though, I don't know about the duties that could be charged so the Mopac offer would be the better one.

Hey Matt, welcome!
I've been keeping my eye out on Canuck Motorsports for their lowering springs too. They are a good price! Dont know if you've thought of it, but HID's are an easy aftermarket upgrade for the Mazda3 due to the stock projector headlights that we have!

well yes...technically projectors are a want from civic owners....lol
but our projectors aren't exactly tuned for HIDs either.......thus it does not perform as well as the bi-xenons or like the S2000's

nope, because from what I heard, if you want to swap for the US spec HID, you have to change the whole headlight unit

nope, because from what I heard, if you want to swap for the US spec HID, you have to change the whole headlight unit which will be VERY expensive.. not worthwhile to do so.....plus.. even if u get the OEM HID projector, it still wont perform as well as the S2000's (some member on M3F tested this on a thread)

if you do a swap........you might as well do a retrofit with E46 bi-xenon with our existing housing....
