Naa the 3 is cool. But alot of manufacturers seem to like even numbers. 8 is my fave and lucky number.

Not really. Mazda has always named their cars with numbers since the R360. With the exception of Cosmos and other SUVs and trucks.

As a matter of fact, Mazda Japan are swaying away from the use of numbers in their domestic market; their 3 and 6 are named Axela and Atenza. Only Mazda exported cars are being named with numbers to appeal to the teeming masses.

Yes I kinda agree the names are better. BUT...only if the company stays with the names and keeps the brand name alive. Just like civic, accord, corolla and so forth. I hate seeing car companies come out with a newer version and call the thing something else. Just like the Ford Fusion........it was the taurus. So many different names...they seem to be always changing.

I can't agree more.. more names.. but same old crap.. no good..
I think mazda will keep the rx8 or maybe rx7 name.. but mx5.. I hope they name it like Mazda4 or Mazda7 ... since the mx series are pretty much goner
