u need to host a pic somewhere for good....and then put the link between the img tag

Go to tinypic.com? Upload your pic; copy the entire link that looks like [/img ]http://www.tinypic.com/xyz.jpg...[/img]
Then paste into your profile and voila!!

Please note the max size of your pic allowed in your sig -- I believe its 500*100
