Sometimes, I tip even more than 15%, just depends on the place.

Just because a white place usually expects more tips, doesn't mean they automatiically deserve more than an asian place.

I hate being forced to tip......
I want to tip if you serve me well.....

I know, but I'm just saying, if the service is good, even at an asian place, 10% is not the max....

just pisses me off how some people can be soo stingy.

Mazda Canada has chosen to deny coverage on the faulty turbo seals and the excessive paint fade on my car. I'm highly disappointed, considering the issues surrounding both.

I'm not sure whether to pursue a lawyer or sell the car at this point.

Regarding the turbo, I've only been given a blanket statement that I have modifications. I'm not sure if Canada has something similar MAgnuson Act (in the US) regarding the need for the manufacturer to explain how a modification has resulted in the faulty part.

All I know at this point, is that Mazda NA has issued a new part number for the turbo (I have both part numbers). As well, my research indicates that other owners in the US and Canada with modified cars have had their turbos replaced under warranty.

As for the paint fade, I understand that pearl white paints will fade. However, the paint has not faded evenly and it is far worse then what I would expect from a one-year-old $36,000 car. At this point, I'm looking for other cars of the same colour and build date to compare the fade and see if what is happening to me is reasonable.

I'm extremely upset and Mazda's treatment of the issue will dictate my ownership of a 3 and future presence within this club.

Have you spoken with the person that was looking over your car, directly?

If you need some help to raise some hell..

Almost got side swiped by a Mazda 5 on the Lougheed highway today going east.  Happened right after the United Blvd. and Lougheed Highway traffic merges...
I was passing it, and it started to creep into my lane, so I hesitated and slowed down... That was a mistake.
Then the driver continued to switch into my lane but in a quicker manner so I honked, but he still moved in.
I'm really lucky that the shoulder was pretty wide and I managed to get around him.  Neither the driver or the passenger saw me which I think is bullshit.  So I just sped away and kept my distance from them.

While I would expect them to use 'mods' as a case to deny coverage, it's still lame.  A stock part defect is a defect.
And the paint - that's simpy lame.  Angry

Sorry to hear that, buddy.

Unfortunately, there's no such law in Canada. And I am afraid that hiring a lawyer for this regard will be futile. Compared to the US, Canada's judicial and legislative branch is very small, so it doesn't have a specific automotive sales and warranty act.

Automotive warranty falls in the realm of the regular sales of goods act, which effectively exempts manufacturers from any warranty liabilities and obligations of any kind whatever when the warranty term is breached by the car owner. Unfortunately for us, modifying a vehicle is a breach of a warranty term.

I am sure a lawyer would say something similar to you. Perhaps, it is best to save the soliciting fees and spend it towards future repairs.
