I have. They took their cars in as they were, with mods on, and most were waranteed without dispute.

^ is there a way of contesting the decision? ie getting a second opinion?

I don't know. I think the next step is to call their Customer line but I'm sure I'll be dealing with someone who is going to give me the same canned answer.

I guess you could contact those dealerships directly that did the warranty to find out what allowed them to do the work.

Apparently he wasn't. They wouldn't give Kev a face to face with the rep.
Probably because the rep wouldn't be able to handle the heat against Kev.

Kev, I'd skip the customer line and try to find someone higher up on the chain. Just go to Mazda's regional head office and ask to speak with someone in person. Phone calls, emails, and letters don't work compared to getting in their face.

I wonder if you switched over to Wolfe in Langley if they'd be able to help you.

IMO, the best way would be to try to get through directly to the higher ups for a little face to face.  Also, paper letter writing (email is next to useless).  As usual, tone will be critical.

It should help to have the documentation and particulars of others who have had their turbochargers replaced, if those people are willing to help you.

It's not unheard of for good letters to recieve a prompt response.

Good luck, Kev.

Thanks Jason.

I echo your sentiments on writing a dignified letter stating facts only. I do have the work order of an MS3 owner in Calgary who had his turbo replaced. As well, I have the new and old part numbers, as well as several testimonials of owners who have had their turbos replaced in spite of modifications.

I'm also contacting Corksport to get any technical information that would support my case.

As well, I gave Forcefed Performance in Langley a call regarding the issue and they will be taking a look at my ca rnext week. I mentioned to him that my car seems to emit a puff of blue smoke upon coming to a stop after a longer drive. He said it could also be blow-by (which sivlia has echoed as welll). I want to isolate the issue first before I proceed with with a potential fix. I'm hoping the folks at Forcefed could provide me with a letter should they confirm that the turbo is in fact faulty and that it is a result of a manufacturing defect rather then my modifications.

Should let the regional rep know that, we'll be representing bcmazda3 at DTP.  Indirectly we represent Mazda as well.  A few signs showing our dissatisfaction may very well lead to people thinking twice about purchasing a Mazda in the near future.

Best way to get support is from the public!
Most companies will try to resolve the issue if it'll lead to bad PR.
Support from the public will result in change! If you can use a forum to recover a Skyline, you can surely use one to have a faulty auto part replaced.
