Don't know if anyone has seen this vehicle but personally i DO like the way it looks.. reading up on all reviews, sounds like it's a pretty good vehicle *glovebox cooler!!!*, from it's base SE @ 1.8LTR (148horses) to it's top of the line RT (AWD- 172horses!).. Admittedly it's american but i see it as being a strong competitor to the Mz3 as it's priced in a similar range and yet offers a lot more options. here's a review which seemed pretty upfront about the pros and cons http://cars.about.com/od/dodg1/fr/bk_07caliber.htmany thoughts?

At first I was surprised that the Neon was being replaced by something that looked like an SUV. But then after looking at the real size of the car, it makes sense.
The extras that this car have can make it quite enticing.....and the look of it, can be attractive in the american muscle car kinda way.
I saw the SRT-4 version of the Caliber and it looks quite...mean.

not my cup of tea but i like where dodge is headed with the mean american muscle designs.. if i had to pick a domestic brand as being my favourite of the big 3.. i'd say dodge would be, i dunno about reliability but they look mean.. haha

hehe yeh i think that would be the market they're going for.. with the neon they were obviously going for the 'cutesy' yet affordable look which i think appealed more towards females in the 16-32 range.. with the caliber i reckon it's more towards the 16-32 year old male who are looking for a 'mean' looking vehicle that they can soup up.

Lowered with some fat chrome rims....yeah I like it.
Personally I think our M3s (GT) should come stock with our motors being driven by a turbo producing at least 250 WHP. The same price as but just more HP and better braking. With all that I am sure they would easily outsell anything that other import makers have. Or anybody else for that matter.
Our motors can easily produce 200HP naturaly, maybe even a little more.....it all comes down to what the software in our cars tells everything to do. The factory could easily program our cars with 200HP. Its just that simple. ?

I dunno how tough our internals are for our cars, but I know the SRT-4, the internals are mighty solid.
I was tempted to get an SRT-4 for a bit (they offered me 0% financing for 4 years...) but I decided against it due to all the tuning and maintenance that a turbo needs. Was kinda tired of that with my Stealth.

I dunno, they just don't look very well put together to me - the gaps between some of the panels are huge, just looks shoddy.

Well they are supposed to be ultra strong. I have a couple of friends who have a speed shop and they tell me the SRT4 has a great motor and awesome potential for performance upgrades. You can really crank the HP and keep the stock crank. They actually built the motor and performance upgrades for Slowboy Racings SRT4. The thing I DONT like is that it looks like a plain old dodge neon IMO.
