Not me as well :p

Hey Martman, how much they quoted you for the tint?

One of this forum's sponsors - n-motion quoted me a great price. (Not sure if I can divulge publicly) But, I sent an email and got a quick reply from Ryan at n-motion. I can tell you that he's quoting a better price than Yau Bong or any other place that I have called. (Even my old tint installer Street Legal can't beat Ryan's price) PLUS, I checked out their shop in Richmond on the weekend. Looks like a pretty professional place to deal with. And they are not too far from where I live.

This forum really rocks!!!

Oops, that reminds me. Gotta drop Ryan an email to schedule the M5 for a much needed tint.

Hey, gemino, maybe we'll schedule our M5's at the same time, have the two of them hold hands while getting tinted :-)

Good idea, let's do it sometime this month.

Just spoke with Ryan.  Too bad their Richmond shop is closed on Saturdays.  In any case, he's sending a crew over on Thursday.  I had to change a few appointments around, but it'll work.  I hear gemino just called him too?

Yeah, at this rate, if I can make the June meet, as Derrick suggested, I'll have the M5 tinted by then.

Next mod, thinking of a sharkfin antenna.

Yeah, definitely. I think it would look great on a 5.

Gemino, yup, I booked last night with Ryan.  I'll be at the Richmond shop around 11:00 AM/11:30 AM.  should be done by 5:00 ish.  Call Ryan now to book - let's meet up there, but I gotta rush back to work.

Yeah, major $$$$.  Rethinking the sharkfins myself because of the cost.   But, tints are a must have - especially for a black beauty. (I thinks)
I still might see you there if I hang around a bit, gemino, then rush back to the office - No. 3 and Westminster.

Who will install the HID for your M5? And how much it cost? Thank you.
(note: you need to bypass DRL)

Do I really need to disable DRL? So far I only see that DRL is only like 5% to 10% dimmer than normal head light on.
Is it bad to keep HID on whole time?

Anyway, at first my friend said he can do it at his place, since he already did it on his CIVIC SIR. He said DRL is easy disable just un-plug the fuse. But looks like we can't do that on Mazda (at least on our 5). Maybe I should just spend more $$ at N-Motion Shocked

If you do not bypass the DRL the ballast will keep trying to ignite instead of keeping it on. Your HIDs will flicker and kill your bulb and ballast prematurely.

There are other ways to bypass the DRL if the system is similar to the 3, which I believe it is. There is a kit you can buy for $25 from The Xenon Store on Mazda3Forums.com or you can do what others have done and switch the wires from the fog lights to the low beams and vice versa.
