im wondering if the main page is hosted on a diff server from the forum
cause everytime the forum messes, the main page loads perfectly fine
and im KIND of suspecting a database issue (the database where the forum grabs all its stuff like posts, users, etc)
b/c some things will load fine sometimes
but yet again sometiems its jsut totally irresponsive

It is most likely a DB issue like Jimmy suggested. I think all the pages are hosted on the same server, but the DB is hosted elsewhere.
