No, I don't know any local club. It used to be a BCRX7.com but the website not exsist anymore. I'm sure all the members are still around.
I was doing the same thing as you did. Traded in my Mazda 3(mine was a '06) for a used RX-8. I was thinking about the new MS3 too but I'm glad I didn't, considering the price they ask for.
