Hey,
If anyone is going to Hong Kong, my all time favorite shanghai resturant is located in Kowloon (near the old airport). I don't remember the name but I can find out if anyone is interested. It's yummmmmy. My uncle is from shanghai and loves that resturant.

Is Shanghai Palace still open on Granville? I drove by there once not too long ago but couldn't find it Will try again this weekend. It doesn't have a big sign, but it's next to the Starbucks on the corner. Haven't been there in a few months, but I think it's still there.
Ya, I know that Shanghai Palace is definitely still open. It's my girlfriend's family restaurant. Best pork dumplings around. Also try this cold spicy garlic chicken with cashews (sometimes peanuts), I can't remember what its called, but its awesome.
