My name is Eric and yeah I was at the mazda meet and bought the silver shark fin from you guys!? Wink
Thanks Tony! But still woulda liked to have worked with the TRG expert!
Yeah on the mazda6 its pretty tight for space and especially for mounting the ballast and doing a clean pro install....So gotta remove the headlights and bumper!

Not sure if you 'have' to take the bumper off for HID install.  For my car, I took it off so that I could hide the ballasts in the bumper.

I will take my bumper off when I (someday) install HIDs so I can hide the balasts away nicely.

There should be lots of room now that the stock intake / resonator is outta there.

I'd like to hide it so you cannot see it at all. Grin I am picky like that.

Yeah every 6 owner on the site removes the front bumper to install the HID's.? Its just a good idea for a clean factory look install, (If I open my hood the only thing that looks different is the power wire running from the battery)? and the only way to remove the headlight assy.? Is to remove the bumper first because a few bolts holding it in is located behind the bumper.? Here is a few more installs, but you can see they are all the same.(As in remove the front bumper before working on it.)

scroll down to see the install pics on that page.

That's exactly what I did.  You can still see the control box for the hi/lo kit that I have, but that's because the wires weren't long enough to hide that box as well.  I relaized my ballasts fell though, so they are just sitting on this plastic shield that's on the bottom, so next time the bumper comes off, they need to be repositioned, lol.  When you open my hood, you can see the wiring from the battery, to the hi/lo box, then the wires from the headlights themselves disappear straight down under the headlight to the hidden ballast.
