There is a guy in Langley that drag races a Corvette at Misison alot, his is faster, and street legal too.  He used to have a 61 Vette but retired it for a newer one, but it did the quarter mile in low 7s and 200mph.  Fastest run I saw him do was a 7.21 @ 199.67.
