I think Big Lai Palace sucks cuz...
a) tables are jam packed together and is kinda dirty
b) service is rude at lunch during dim sum (never gone for dinner).

omg that one?
is it across from crystal mall?
NEVER GO THERE!!!!!!
as mentioned by Simon, the service is rude...
AND
one time when i went there for dim sum... there was green vegetable worm ON the cooked vegetable still MOVING
AND
i have found a nose hair/eyebrow hair or some kinda hair sticking onto the surface of a beef tendon? (dono wut it's called in english)

i was so pissed
but my grandma said it's ok!

Dennys is garbage. First time I went there for breakfast, it took 45 minutes for 3 people's food. A soup, and two breakfast plates. Soup was cold, and the breakfast was mediocre. Then there's Tim Hortons, they are so SLOW. I wince when I see a lineup because I know it's going to take 20 minutes just to move two cars. I try to avoid ethnic restaurants, most of them tend to be run down, overpriced shit shacks. There are a few good ones, but that's the problem, it takes a lot of $$$ to find them. Even then, if you're reffered, experiances differ. Whitespot and BP are still good in my books.

Tim hortons is the worst IMO, don't get what's so good about the food there...and it's alwAYS SO SLOW!
If anyones has been to the one on 72nd ave in Surrey (strawberry hills).. you would know how long the drive thru takes..
Also, I can get tastier food at mcdonald's for a fewer bux although junkier... but meh...
next contender in line would be the all you can eat Sui Sha Ya (水車屋) that one is just horrible
I like boston pizza's pasta haha Cheesy

The service at Richmond Sui Sha Ya sucks big time. I remember they wouldn't give my dad the senior's discount because he didn't have ID to prove he was over 60. I mean seriously, do they ID you at Uncle Willy's for a freaking lunch buffet?

I work near UBC so heres my list. Dentry's bar on 10th ave. SUCKS! The buns were soaked in gease from the burger , fries were cold and the beer was piss warm. Theres another place a few doors down from the starbucks called the diner. HORRIBLE. I ordered just basic eggs, bacon, toast, hashbrowns. All cold and tasting horrible. The bacon was cooked for less then a min, It was still raw. I had to tell her to recook it 3 times. When it came out the last time, I just left the food there, paid and left. Just horrible.

Boston Pizza. Specifically, the No. 3 Road location (near Ackroyd). Went in the afternoon, place was DEAD. We were seated at the closest table to the entrance. I asked what the specials were and the waiter proceeded to tell me all the drink specials. I ordered one, he asked me for ID, a second piece of ID, a third piece of ID. Looked at me, then said he had to go show the ID to his boss. As his manager walked back to us with the beer, I stood up and politely told them I would take my business elsewhere. I'm 24, not 12.

Don't even get me started on the overpriced portions.

I guess their method of serving doesn't flatter you. It's been a decade since I've been mistaken for young age. Be glad to look young, buddy! haha

I hate the deli in the basement of SUB at ubc. They serve yesterday's things in the morning. I mean the food feels soo moldy till around 11:00. I guess by 11 they sell off all of yesterdays stuff because if you buy something after 11, you can taste the freshness in the food.
Anyway, i dont like them for feeding students almost rotten food in the morning.
