Rubber side down! Does one tire count? lol. Just kidding. I do no such thing.
Too bad about the accident. Riding is so much fun but you have to be soooooo careful. Everyone is out to kill you.

I will be. I was only kidding. There are a lot of riders who are no longer with us and I think about that everytime I get on my bike. It keeps my head together and that's super important.

Ohh.. I didn't realize you were in the Okanaga.  Whereabouts?  My ex and I used to go up to Sportbike West every year when it was at 8 Mile Ranch just outside of Kelowna and then in Oliver.

I live in Kelowna. Last year was the last year for sportbike west Sad. I went but it was kind of lame. Not like what it used to be, that's for sure.

Yes, that's right.  No more sportbike west.  There were some crazy years though.  Crazy riders.  However, there were some great times as well.

We had our accident going up to 8 mile ranch (Gertsmar & #33 Hwy) for sportbike west on a Friday afternoon.  Some stupid driver turned left in front of us at the intersection (100% their fault) and we t-boned them.  That same weekend, friends of ours hit a horse that ran out of an open gate and onto the road.  Talk about a freak accident.  The guy lost use of his arm from that. You just never know... so be careful out there! Undecided

I crashed on sat Sad. It wasn't bad though. My bf led me straight into gravel and that's like hitting ice. Buh. Oh well. I'm ok, my bike's just a little trashed. It was definatly an experience.

Yikes!  Glad you're ok!  The bike can be fixed.  He led you straight into gravel huh?!  Hmmm... is that like leading you down the garden path?  Tongue

There were three of us riding and he pulled off directly into gravel. He almost lost it himself. It's hard riding in a group cause you're supposed to stick together. But, the lead rider is supposed to make sure he doesn't do anything to endanger anyone else, specially since I'm new to the scene. He feels awful! Good thing is that I'm ok. The bike was old and I bought it that way on purpose so I'm not sad about it. It was a slow speed accident so barely anything happened to it anyway. It's my body that hurts lol.
