Anyone affected? I lost power at my place around 2:45am. When I left for work, power was still out. South and North Burnaby both lost power overnight. Got a bit chilly for me since my heating is entirely electrical baseboard. Kingsway was a mess with no traffic lights, but north of it until at least and including Lougheed Hwy had traffic lights. Looks like I'll have to take the raffle prize flashlight out of my car. Lights were flickering a bit last night but no power outages for me (one of the advantages of working at Hydro ). But the entire family got woken up by the storm at around 3am. Never got much shut eye after that...

At around 3am, the power went out for 1 sec...and then came back on. It wasn't just a flicker, as the clocks were reset, but it was just for 1 second.

Skytrains were out and it was raining. Especially horrible when you really don't want to be up that early

Here in North Delta, it went out in the early morning (2am?) so my alarm didn't go off. When to work an hour late only to find out the shop's out of power too (south Van.). Nice day off.

Broadway is also a huge mess. i didn't even try to go on broadway, i was jut trying to go THROUGH broadway. It took me 20 mins to go from 14th ave to 10th on Clark dr.
same as tony, the lights flicker from time to time while i was studying. so derrick gave me one of his precious flashlight, in case power goes out i can still study. lol

My rooms in the basement, so I don't really hear anything, but my mom told me that it woke her up at 2:30 am. She said the trees we have in the backyard were moving so much she thought they were going to fall over. The drive to work was fun today. Trees branches everywhere.
side-note::: supposed to freeze tonight (which it already started to do when i left work) and its supposed to be -2 tonight and snow tomorrow.

Power supposedly came back at 7pm in my area. But when I got home around 10pm, I was greeted by the sight of plain-clothes cops busting some kids for stealing a car that somehow ended up parked in front of my place. For some reason, a bunch of them were in handcuffs lying on my front lawn... err, wha? What a day.

Hmm... no power outage for us but going to school was a nightmare... work was running on a power generator since power failed and what not. Pretty sad...
just got home from a friends house n her house has no power. Pretty chilly at hers except lots of warm blankies! On way home at like 3:40AM.. saw 2 sets of hydro crews doing something to the wires. Supposedly she'll get power back t/m 10PM but i duno...
