Well.....didn't have to work till tonight so what better day then to go skiing!? And guess who was there?? KEIICHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Grin

I was just driving along and someone waved to me near the lodge.? Thought he looked familiar and took me a couple of seconds after he waved at me.

The powder up there was pretty nice.? Started to get heavy in the afternoon but man was it ever a workout!? Haven't skied that much powder in a very very long time.? Which was a good and bad thing...getting used to it again was the hard part.? Many wipeouts but all in good fun!? The powder on some of the trails were pretty much knee deep so if you fell, it would have been like falling on a fluffed pillow!  Jason was just rippin it down the hills with powder flying everywhere!

Here are some pics on my way up.? Didn't get a chance to take some on the slopes....they're from my camera phone so the quality isn't that great!? For those going up, definitely get some snow tires on your car.? The roads are covered with snow and ice up the mountain.

Great to see you enjoy the snow on the mountain where they should belong in the first place.

Wow Nick!  Winter wonderland!  Glad you had a good day.  I hope you don't get too sore from the skiing and all those wipeouts!  Cheesy

haha...thought you would be. I bet you will be sore too using all those muscles you haven't used in a while! Cheesy Nothing a hot soak or two won't cure. Sounds like fun for sure!? I haven't skiied in eons.

LOL!? That was so awesome!

I'm heading to the ticket booth by myself...and then a nice Mazda3 comes up through the curve.? I think to myself....Lowered....sharkfin......sticker....then I start waving and yelling...(sorry Dan, I couldn't move fast enough to knock on his window and ask for money...).?

The snow was fantastic and as Nick said, it was sooo soft.? At first we both had to get use to the powder and then it was straight ol' fun.? We both had our fun wipeouts hehehe.? I was the first with a beautiful, 1 legged 180 degree turn, gain control, but realized I was going down the hill backwards and couldn't turn back around wipe out......lol.

There was also a jump into a pile of snow that was pretty fun too....lol

Nick and I were doing pretty well, I think you just got a bit tired in the end, since you were doing more turns in the heavy powder.? I didn't stay for much longer after you left Nick.....my quads started to burn.....sitting back on the powder is tiring....

Also, all this suffering wasn't for our own enjoyment.....yes....that's right....it was actually for the club.....

Remember, people were asking to head up to Cypress for skiing, thus I decided to sacrifice a work day to drive up with my stock tires and suffer through the wonderful snow conditions with Nick to determine if this would be a viable option for our club members.

Aren't we such dedicated members to this club? Smiley Smiley

Oh yes, and with my stock tires (I have the Toyos), there weren't any problems, of course I was driving down the mountain at 40-60...and didn't have to do any crazy stops....the road got better at mid mountain, but at the top it was still just snow and no concrete.
