Mazda has released the first teaser picture of its Mazda2 hatchback prior to its release at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Accompanying the picture were two paragraphs of cotton-candy press release about when the car will be shown. When it is launched, the Mazda2 will come equipped with either a 1.3-liter four producing 85hp or a 1.5-liter four making approximately 100 horsepower.

In spite of the booger green colour, I would take this over the Yaris/Fit.

Me likes.  The lines flow rather well for such a small car.  I wonder if the eventual redesigned 3 will take on the same design philosophy.

Kinda cool....at least mazda has something to compete with.

Would look good in a different color and some tinted windows..

LOL I was about to look for 206/207's pics.  The more I look at them, the more I like.

Not really digging this version of Mazda2 though, I still prefer the older design, more JDM-ish.  This one is obviously more European.

I really like the interior.  For such a small car, it is quite classy.

Yeah, the steering wheel is A+.  If I'm not mistaken, it looks a lot like the Miata one.
