Same as before - 10K in low 50's. Last year I ran it in about 58 mins I think.... the uphill around Hornby and Pacific, then across the Burrard Bridge caught me off-guard as I didn't do a lot of prior hill training.

Yeah, those hills are the hardest. Are you also doing some weights in your training? I found that if you work your quadriceps and hamstrings, it will really help in cutting down your time.

Realistically, I don't think I'll be able to see the results of weight training for the Sun Run. Anything I start now won't have significant impact since it's only ~5 weeks away. I do intend to do other races though, so that will factor in eventually, as well as stability exercises for my abs.

Well I have not been able to keep a regular running schedule in the last month so due to weather and work... this Sunday is going to be a virtual wash. I might be able to do some run/walk combo but I doubt I'd make it in any better time than 70 mins.

Don't worry Victor, I did the Sun Run before and it's not that bad. According to the website:
"The route is sprinkled with gentle, undulating hills."
Good Luck!

I ran it last year. It's not bad up until you get to the Burrard Bridge section. But I haven't trained up for the endurance through the last month. Ah well...

Don't worry Victor. It should be fun and you'll be fine. I'd rather it rain 'cuz I post better times when it's raining than when it is sunny.

Well I had a Sun Jog. At least the weather was co-operative.

>70 mins LOL.
I really didn't want to push myself since I didn't have much practice and work is still stressing me out mentally. Had a nice nap just a couple hours ago though!
