New to this forum as I just picked up my Mazda3 SP23 last Thursday. I got the Carbon Gray/Saddle Brown and absolutely love the car so far. I am very impressed with the structure of the car and the equipmentlevel, and quality of materials and finish overall. I came out of a lease on a 2002 BMW 525i. I love the BMW brand as it relates to the driving feel, but am less than thrilled about there recent styling choices and lack of electrical reliability. Looking forward to some great times with the SP23.

Hi, Stephen. Welcome to our little corner of the neighborhood.
I take it that you have a US model (and probably that you also live in the states) as we don't have the SP23 in Canada. If you have time, please do post some pics!!

I do live in the US. The package of equipment on this car is an incredible value in my mind. And the Carbon Grey with the Brown and Black interior treatment is truly stunning. I had custom built my BMW in Slate Green with a Stone Green and Black two tone interior and sport package; so I tend to go for cars with a slightly different but stunning look. I'll do my best to get some pictures posted.

Australia also gets the SP23.
What extras do they get? I was reading some magazine (forgot which one, its in the car) and it listed leather, automatic wipers and other things we already have as new features in the SP23.

as other said we all wanted SP23.....well at least the hatch owners. I will be mad if they release the SP23 version in Canada next year........it's gonna be lots to catch up for me.....

SP23 Special Edition came with the unique Carbon Gray/Saddle Brown leather color combination, 17" wheels with a special finish, side sill extensions, 222 watt Bose Audio with 7 speakers and subwoofer, 6-disc in dash, heated seats, rain sensing windshield wipers, auto headlights, A/C Pollen filter and Piano Black finish on dash and steering wheel trim pieces. I also added ABS, Side curtain airbags, Moonroof, Xenon, and Tire pressure monitors.

Welcome to the forum Stephen! It's too bad "extras" like the better sound system, and Tire Pressure Monitoring aren't avaible in Canada. But then again, we have some of the other items....
