I have a leaking seam in my gas tank and need to find a new one. The dealership is quoting me 530$ for a new one. Does anybody know of a place i can find one cheaper?

I would possibly try going through a wrecker. I'm guessing you drive a P5 so there should be some around at wreckers. Furthermore, a Protege gas tank could also possibly fit.

There you go! Glad it didn't turn into a worse situation. Gas tank leaking = YIKES!

Wow. Are you sure there wasn't a recall or something for the P5 related to that? I would be really alarmed. What year is your car?

Yeah... that's kinda dangerous. Grin Don't want any Pinto accidents now.

I would also guess that there is no way to seal a leaking gas tank as it would still pose a safety risk?
