Who locked the "What does administrator do?" thread? I want to know why the thread was deleted and am requesting that the thread be brought back. I found the thread to be a legit feedback to the site.

Also, what is the policy behind deleting a thread? Is it decided by a single person? Is it decided by an administrator? Or does there have to be an agreement between "staffs" before a thread is deleted?

I personally believe that a thread should not be deleted unless somebody uses the "Report to moderator" link on the bottom of each thread. Or if there is a blatant violation of the board rules.

Even then, there needs to be a set rule about how each violation of the rules is handled. Or at least for the executor to PM reasoning behind it.

Threads / posts are edited or deleted at the discretion of the staff, based on the guidelines here

In your thread, which was deleted, you are questioning the role of a particular staff member and your perceived view that his contribution to the club is de minimus.  Judging from your other posts recently, I gather that it is your view that he should no longer be part of the club's staff.

I would suggest that the make up of the staff and their roles / responsibilities should not be your concern.  Calling out a member or staff is not helpful nor is it tolerated.

I posted a legitimate concern on the club, why would it get deleted rather then defend himself? For the thread deleted in question, it was a question inquiring the role of a specific title. How come one moderator move a thread in lounge that he is in the hot seat to this suggestion section and calmly reply. While other simply delete and hide? Is one too afraid to reply publicly?

I did not ask a staff to resign. At most I asked should he. Given that is a QUESTION. a simple ANSWER will do. But rather one choose to delete a thread and hide; that is coward! If one got nothing to hide, answer it like an adult.

and for that specific staff's contribution level....it is a fact not a perceived view. Wink Please don't try to turn it around.

It is not clear to me that the club in general shares your concern in this regard.  Bringing this out in the public and expecting the other party to respond or to defend himself is unfair, not helpful, other than to create a lot of unnecessary drama on the board.

As I mentioned before, the make up of the staff and their specific roles / responsibilities should not be your concern.

Wow that is a bold reply! So what's the point of suggestion/feedback forum? Share with the club or not is determine by you not a specific staff...how would you know they don't have this concern when all one did was delete the thread once and for all? It just very biased to delete a feedback made to that specific person.

why would this not be deleted when mine is? Maybe instead of asking it in a polite manner....I need to add in "WTF" so it can stay?

I don't think my concern is any differ then asking site is slow, white dot, or who use calender to check event etc...

As I told you before, I have no say on the make up of the staff and/or their responsibilities. But that doesn't mean it should not be my concern. And that doesn't mean I can't post it. It was never offensive nor violated any BC Mazda rules as posted!

It is very possible that the person in question just does not have time to reply to your question because of "work" and "taking a few days off", and does not have the ability to fulfill their responsibilities.

Wow, there's only a handful of moderators and two administrators on this board. I wonder who the person in question is... hmmm...

Is this another case of ribs vs wings? lol

My two points still stand.

Threads / posts are edited, deleted or locked at the discretion of the staff based on the forum guidelines.

The make up of the staff and their specific roles / responsibilities should not be your concern.  In other words, you should not be concerned about who is doing what.   Now if the "what" is not being done to your satisfaction or that you think it can be improved, I would more than welcome your suggestions.

but your two point are NOT valid.

1. I did not violate any rules/guideline
2. I was not and not intend to make up the staff. I had a concern and asked. It is simply a yes/no question. Why is it difficult to answer? or is one afraid of the light?

So instead of asking a question, I should post my comment and it will be welcome? Ok here is my rephrased suggestion:

the specific administrator on the forum is power-tripping and is totally unacceptable and there are huge room for improvement. Please kindly look into this matter.
