Try contact Mazda Canada on Toronto. As the regional rep looked at your car with no help. As for forcefed....I don't know if I will bring my car there after reading their thread on RS.  |

Use some quick detailer to get rid of that stuff ASAP, especially as the sun shines stronger and temps go up. Last thing you want is for that stuff to get baked on. |

Just get a new HD. Swapping hard drives on a Macbook is easy and doesn't void warranty like the MBP does.

I know swapping is easy, but I was bad and didn't backup lately. I really don't want to lose the data. Wonder if the OS disc would allow it to restart.

Heh that's why you gotta become an Apple Technician  If the drive is still detected by the computer theres a good chance of easy data recovery, even possibly DIY. If not, you can have the drive sent to Seagate for data recovery.. it's a free estimate, but you will pay between 1500 - 2500 for your data if you want it recovered usually. When people tell me backup drives are expensive, they have no idea how much real data recovery services cost |

Chance of harddrive just died completely is rare. Try starting it up and it should fire up once in 10 or 20 tries. Once it started, backup asap.
